Kindred Kollective Celebration 2025
The Kindred Kollective showcase was a vibrant celebration of the talented young creatives who developed their skills through The Family Place’s interactive workshops. The event featured an exciting night of live entertainment, with performances from Kindred Kollective participants alongside local legends The Spindrift Saga and Val Moogz.

Kindred Kollective Believable Acting Workshop Sunshine Bay 2025
The Believable Acting Workshop, held in Sunshine Bay on April 26th and 27th 2025, provided young actors aged 12-17 with an engaging opportunity to refine their skills in bringing characters to life.

Kindred Kollective Moruya Film Foundations Workshop 2025
Young creatives aged 12–17 explored short film storytelling and production in the Film Foundations workshop, gaining hands-on experience and confidence in a fun, supportive space.

Kindred Kollective Bodalla Drama Exploration Workshop 2025
Participants built confidence, creativity, and connections through Exploration & Performance Drama Workshops, using improvisation, movement, and vocal techniques in a fun, supportive environment.

Kindred Kollective Moruya Band Formation Workshop 2025
Young musicians aged 12–17 built confidence and collaboration in an after-school workshop, forming bands and gaining hands-on experience with instruments, sound equipment, and performance skills.

Kindred Kollective Batemans Bay Naturally Dramatic Workshop 2025
Young creatives explored storytelling, character development, and stagecraft at the Naturally Dramatic Weekend Theatre Workshop, crafting and performing an original play inspired by nature.

Kindred Kollective Broulee Songwriting Workshop 2025
Led by The Spindrift Saga, this dynamic workshop provided participants with a hands-on opportunity to form a band, compose an original song, and refine their craft with expert guidance.

Kindred Kollective Narooma Songwriting Workshop 2025
Over eight weeks, young musicians aged 12-17 took part in an immersive after-school workshop, developing foundational skills in songwriting, music recording, and production.

Kindred Kollective Bega Film Workshop 2024
Facilitated by BBT, a talented group of young men took part in an immersive, skill-building experience, developing confidence in using professional equipment to create their own videos.

Between the 15th and 19th April 2024 Kindred Kollective hosted a workshop focused on movement with FLING Physical Theatre and BBT at the Twyford Hall Merimbula.

Aboriginal Men’s Camp 2024
In March 2024 over 3 days, 50 men and boys aged 16 to 70 gathered at Mystery Bay for an Aboriginal Men’s Culture and Language Camp to connect with Indigenous Culture.

Regrowth Documentary Film Screening
The ReGrowth Project recently held it’s final community celebration event at Narooma Kinema with a screening of the Documentary film by Ruby Mitchell.

Pride in the Park
Pride in the Park was a family friendly event held alongside the SAGE Farmers Market as part of the World Pride celebrations and to support our LGBTQIA+ Community.

Binin.gala Workshops
The Binin.gala Workshops are a school program focused on Art Therapy, Drama and Yarning Circle processes. Binin.gala is a Dhurga language word meaning light, moonlight, sunlight.

Art Funday
A school holiday program featuring creative and fun activities for kids aged 7- 12. Held at The Family Place’s Art Studio in Moruya with lunch at Riverside Park included.

Yarn, Play, Connect Playgroup
Yarn, Play, Connect was a free playgroup hosted at Batemans Bay Public School and included fun activities, free play, story telling, guest speakers, school transitioning and community connection.

Eurobodalla Show 2023
The Family Place held a stall at the Eurobodalla Agricultural Show as part of the Bushfire Preparedness Expo. The TFP stall showcased all of the artworks created by the community in the Love Hope Renewal Program.

The Reading Tree
The Reading Tree is a series of pop up events held at various locations around the Eurobodalla. Each event features a different story theme and includes morning tea and fun activities.

‘My Narooma’ Community Celebration
‘My Narooma’ was a community celebration held on 18th September @ The Bend & Sip Bar. The event was an opportunity to share stories old and new, be creative, enjoy local food and listen to local music live.

‘Moruya Mosaic’ Community Celebration
Held in the Sage Community Garden, ‘Moruya Mosaic’ was a celebration day about sharing stories and facilitated the creation of a community art installation. The event featured free local food and live music.

ReGrowth Youth Theatre Workshop Broulee
ReGrowth is a ‘site specific’, performing arts school holiday program for young people aged 10-17 years. The program will be delivered in 5 locations across the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley LGAs and visited the Broulee Surf Lifesaving Club on 26 September 2022.

ReGrowth Youth Theatre Workshop Narooma
Part 4 of the ReGrowth Youth Theatre Workshops was held in Narooma. The ReGrowth project includes the production of a feature length documentary, this will capture the journey as we move through and engage in the theatre making process.

Mogo Big Day Out 2022
The Family Place was part of the Mogo Big Day Out 2022 event celebrating NAIDOC week and involving many organisations and community members.
