Family Support
We understand that every family situation and individual goals are very different. We are committed to working with you to provide a safe, professional and confidential service.
Areas we may be able to work with you and your family include:
- Providing Information on the physical, emotional and developmental needs of your children
- Providing information on services and supports available to you
- Assisting with access to specialist services
After our first meeting we will set a time to work together to identify your goals, strengths and biggest challenges in a family care plan, we then work together to achieve these goals.
- Support and advice to assist parents and carers in their role of raising and caring for children.
- Assistance and advocacy to access appropriate services.
- Suitable for families who do not require intensive family support.

Intensive Family Preservation
The Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) Program offers an intensive level of casework and a broad range of support services to families in crisis. Referral into this program can only be made through the Batemans Bay Community Service Centre (Department of Communities and Justice). The duration of the IFP program is generally up to six months. After hours phone assistance during the initial 12 weeks.
We understand that concerns faced by families will differ so we will work with you to ensure that we provide supports that are tailored to your family’s needs.
A Family Care Coordinator will meet with you to discuss your current family issues and assist you to identify your strengths and biggest challenges. Together we will develop a Family Care Plan that will include goals determined by you. The Family Care Plan will guide our work with you and your family so that we can provide the services and supports necessary for you to achieve your goals.

- Assisting with access to specialist services
- Enhancing parenting and relationship skills
- Strengthening life skills and routines
- Developing skills to identify and reduce family conflict

- Providing finance and budget planning
Group Programs
Tips and Tricks for Happy Kids
In this unique program we provide childcare on site in our fully equipped children’s room.
This program runs for 6 to 8 weeks and is a collaboration with Campbell Page. It is targeted at parents and carers of children. Workshops are based on evidence based programs including: Triple P Parenting, 123 Magic and Bringing Up Great Kids.
Topics include emotion coaching, escalation traps, healthy attachment and boundary setting This program also offers wellbeing sessions including yoga, mindfulness and art therapy.
